Marjorie Lynn Bank Lecture Series

Changemakers: Making Conservation Personal

Marjorie Lynn Bank was a native Baltimorean and a naturalist who promoted aquatic conservation and shared her extensive knowledge of marine biology through her award-winning underwater photography and educational lectures. Her legacy lives on through the National Aquarium Marjorie Lynn Bank Lecture Series, established by the Bank family when Marjorie passed away in 1994.

Through the Marjorie Lynn Bank lecture series, the National Aquarium is honored to bring to Baltimore individuals who have devoted themselves to a conservation cause and are making waves of change. Whether enhancing natural resources in urban settings; adding much-needed diversity to the conservation movement; creating solutions to human and ocean health, and/or building our resiliency to climate change, speakers share their stories. We believe their stories can offer insights and inspiration from local, regional, and international quests to make this blue planet a better place for us all.
